VBLIV Privacy Policy

VBLIV is provided by Rytasoft (“we”, “us” or “our”). This policy explains how VBLIV handles personal information when you use the Android application, the VBLIV website, Rytasoft Identity, or related VBLIV services.

Information we handle

Account information: if you register or sign in, Rytasoft Identity may provide your user identifier, name, email address and VBLIV application role.
Guest information: if you continue as a guest, we create a random, time-limited guest identifier. You do not need to provide a name or email address.
Legal acceptance: we record the versions of the Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted and the time of acceptance. For guests, this information is held in the time-limited guest token.
Service and security data: our services and hosting providers may process requested media paths, timestamps, IP address, device, browser or app details, and ordinary security and diagnostic logs.
Information stored on your device: wishes, sessions, preferences, authentication tokens and downloaded media may be stored locally. Authentication tokens are stored using protected device storage where supported. Crash diagnostics remain local unless you choose to share them with us.
Optional website location and notifications: the VBLIV website asks for location or notification permission only when you choose those features. Location is used in your browser to calculate reflective Celestial Weather and is saved in browser storage. VBLIV does not send that precise location to its servers as part of this feature. You can revoke either permission in your browser settings and clear the saved information at any time.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, provide VBLIV experiences and media, remember preferences, operate optional browser features, secure and troubleshoot the service, send a welcome email to newly registered users, meet legal obligations, and improve VBLIV. We do not sell personal information and do not use VBLIV account information for third-party advertising.

Sharing and service providers

We disclose information only where needed to operate VBLIV, where you direct us, or where required or authorised by law. Providers may include Rytasoft Identity, cloud hosting and storage providers such as Microsoft Azure, email delivery providers such as SendGrid, website hosting providers, and Google Play distribution services. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy obligations.

Overseas processing

Cloud, identity, email, support, website-hosting or distribution providers may process or store information outside Australia. The countries involved can change with provider infrastructure. We take reasonable steps appropriate to the service and applicable Australian privacy law when using providers.

Retention and security

We retain account, consent, security and operational information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above or as required by law. Guest tokens expire automatically. Local app or browser data remains until you delete it, clear the app or browser storage, or uninstall VBLIV, subject to device and browser settings. We use access controls, encrypted transport and other reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

Your choices and rights

You may use guest mode where available. You may request access to or correction of personal information we hold, ask a privacy question, or make a complaint by emailing [email protected].

To delete your VBLIV account and associated data, use the Rytasoft account and data deletion page. We will respond within a reasonable period. You may also have the right to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Children

VBLIV is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Changes

We may update this policy when VBLIV or legal requirements change. We will publish the current version here and, where appropriate, request acceptance of the new version in the app.
